Marquez Knolls, a neighborhood in the hills of Pacific Palisades, is the perfect spot for families. This quiet community has excellent schools, stunning views, great neighbors, and well maintained streets. It is located just north of the Village and south of The Highlands.
Built in the 1950’s, the one-story homes here are custom built and have a mid-century Mediterranean look and feel to them. The community does not have any formal associations. Young families love it here because of the affordability with property starting at $1 million and the spectacular ocean views. Palisades High School and Marquez Elementary School are within walking distance as is the Village in Pacific Palisades. The village offers shopping, dining, and everyday services as well as a library and easy access to the beach. And Marquez Avenue has many shops and services as well just down the street.
Homeowners love the exquisite craftsmanship of these homes with custom hardwood floors and spacious living areas. Amenities include incomparable kitchens, cathedral ceilings, home theaters, pools, and terraces that overlook the sea. Outdoor living is the best with koi ponds, barbecue kitchens, firepits, and sometimes private tennis courts. There are many top-of-the-line upgrades and many of the bedrooms look out to the ocean. Some homes have extra bonus rooms that can be used for offices or fitness rooms. And the master suites are a homeowner’s personal paradise with large bathrooms and sitting rooms.
Pacific Palisades is a district in L.A.’s Westside region and considered an affluent community. It is a largely residential area with a little more than 27,000 people living there. Housing is a mixture of condominiums, apartments, small older houses, and large private estates. The Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce celebrates the Fourth of July with 5K and 10K runs and a large fireworks display at the local high school.
